Colorful hex flies are here in time for the holidays!

hex fly colours

NEW: Hex Fly Colours

Burnt Orange - Titanium Grey - Cactus - Olive Drab - Goldenrod - Bark - Forest Green

We are excited about bringing six new Hex Fly colours to you. We heard you and here they are!  We love these new colours and we think you will too.

The PU-coated polyester ripstop Hex Fly works with all Hennessy Hammock models providing generous protection from wind and rain. These flies can be angled out or staked down close to the ground on both sides for more coverage, raised high on one side to create a "porch" area and scoop cool breezes toward the hammock or tied up on their own to shelter a campsite gathering place.  The Hex Fly can also be used on its own.

Any hammock fan would enjoy finding one of these under the tree. You can order any of these new rainfly colours individually or when you customize your hammock.

Courtney writes in about an unexpected bonus feature of her Hennessy Hammock

I love your hammocks and I have a small anecdote if your interested.  My job involves camping in remote regions of BC's central coast for months at a time.  Did you know that in BC's temperate rain forests, banana slugs, can comprise up to 70% of total animal biomass and be nearly 30 cm in length! Before I switched to a hammock, I slept in a tent and let me tell you, those guys got in everything, even sealed totes.  They are incorrigible.  The bane of my existence camping in the forest.  Once they invade, your tent, your pack, whatever - you can't move them, as soon as you touch them, they start to slime, huge globs of the stuff and nothing (not soap, water, isopropyl alcohol, a good scrub with sand) will remove it.  You just have to learn to live with them - that was until I switched to a hennessy hammock.  I switched because I was over sleeping on uneven forest ground (my sleep much improved, thank you!) but an unintended miracle was; no more slugs!  The scoundrels clearly couldn't be bothered to climb up a (leafless) tree trunk and across the line, so thank you for a slug free summer! The Right Strap at the Right Price

Now you won’t have to pay more to get the right strap for your new hammock. Because of our concern for the environment and protecting trees from hammock rope damage, the Hennessy Hammock team has decided to reduce the price of our longer webbing straps so that all straps are the same low price.   Also, any person who owns any brand of hammock without webbing straps can also buy a pair of any standard size or length for less than $10 plus postage from Hennessy Hammock.
