Hennessy Hammock Code of Conduct
At Hennessy Hammock we are dedicated to maintaining high standards for workers’ rights and environmental sustainability in our supply chain. We believe that suppliers who consistently strive to improve social and environmental standards are better equipped to produce top-quality goods. As such, we require our suppliers to adhere to the Hennessy Hammock Code of Conduct. To ensure compliance, we monitor the conditions in our supply chain and require full, transparent access to the facilities where our products are manufactured.
Compliance with Legal Requirements
Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the countries where they operate, including those related to labour, social security, and environmental protection.
Voluntary Employment
Forced labour, including prison labour, indentured labour, bonded labour, or any other form of involuntary work, is strictly prohibited.
Child Labour
No person under the age of 16 or under the age of compulsory education (whichever is higher) shall be employed.
Non-discrimination
Suppliers must not discriminate in any aspect of employment, including hiring, compensation, advancement, discipline, termination, or retirement, based on gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political opinion, social group, or ethnic origin.
Harassment and Abuse
All employees shall be treated with respect and dignity. No employee shall be subjected to physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment or abuse.
Working Hours
Suppliers shall not require employees to work more than the maximum regular and overtime hours permitted by the laws of the country in which they are employed. Overtime work must be voluntary and properly compensated, with employers making efforts to avoid requesting overtime on a regular basis.
Compensation
Suppliers must pay workers a wage sufficient to meet their basic needs and provide discretionary income. The minimum wage, appropriate prevailing wage, or any legally required fringe benefits must be met, whichever is higher. If compensation does not meet workers' basic needs, suppliers should take progressive steps to improve wages.
Health and Safety
Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy work environment, taking necessary measures to prevent accidents and health risks. The same standards apply to residential facilities, if provided.
Product Quality
Quality assurance must be maintained throughout product development, manufacturing, and delivery. Suppliers must implement procedures and management systems that consistently deliver high-quality products for every Hennessy Hammock order.
Supply Chain Transparency
Suppliers must be transparent about their supply chains and maintain traceability of materials and production processes. This transparency allows Hennessy Hammock to assess the social and environmental impacts of our products.
Confidential Grievance Channel
If you believe your rights have been violated, please contact Hennessy Hammock at info@hennessyhammock.com. All communications will be treated confidentially.
