Since the Survivorman was introduced in 2019, it has become Hennessy Hammock's most highly prized hammock model. It was created in collaboration with Les Stroud, Canada's highly regarded bushcraft icon and media personality, who worked closely with Tom to emphasize key features for bushcrafting in the hammock and kit.
This rugged hammock utilizes our latest 4Season design to keep you comfortable year round. The double bottom provides space for an oversize compressible open cell foam pad and other improvised insulation such as extra clothing, dry grass, leaves, etc. The interior of the hammock is emergency orange and can be turned inside out and used to signal search and rescue efforts.
It also comes standard with the 70D Hex Fly, our largest rainfly for valuable protection from bad weather and with enough space to set up your camp in comfort. A handy compression sack with detailed set-up instructions is included.
Les has specified his essential survival items for the kit, including an oversize 39" / 1 m Survivorman bandana printed with his survival tips. It can also be used as a bandage, tourniquet, dust mask, pre water filter, arm sling, etc. The kit comes in a pouch that attaches to the ridge line of the hammock behind your head. The survival kit also includes a space blanket which is recommended for extra reflected warmth.

"SnakeSkins" are a patented instant stuff sack system that collapses your Hennessy Hammock in about 30 seconds. Your shelter never touches the ground, never gets dirty or muddy. It just disappears into two tapering tubes of silnylon which sit gathered on the ropes at each end of the hammock for amazingly quick set up and take down. For use with all Hennessy Hammock models. The 70 D poly hex fly requires an additional pair of snakeskins because the hex fly is bulkier than the standard rainflies.
FREE Longer Webbing Straps When you "Build Your Own"
To be certain that Hennessy Hammocks can never damage the tender bark of trees, our hammocks always include complimentary webbing straps.
You can also get a free upgrade to longer webbing straps when customizing any hammock from our website. You may want longer straps if you camp where there are really big trees and don’t mind carrying the extra weight. Our stock 42" long webbing straps are long enough to go around a 14" diameter tree. The 72” webbing straps will go around a 24” tree and the 96” straps will go around a 32” tree.
